Installation guidelines for CompoGrid CG50 and CG100, with a specific tack rate and minimum solids content, surface temperature limits, and the requirement to place while the tack is still tacky.
Two numbers here that are worth writing on the back of your hand, because they are specific in a way most interlayer guides are not.
Tack: 0.2 to 0.3 gal/yd² residual, minimum 70% solids, from a calibrated distributor. Residual, not applied. If you are running an emulsion, the applied rate has to be higher to land on that residual figure, and “calibrated” is doing real work in that sentence.
Place while the tack is still tacky or broken, not cured. This is the opposite of GlasGrid, where the tack must be fully cured before paving. Two products from the same manufacturer, opposite rules, and mixing them up is an easy mistake on a crew that runs both.
On sharp curves, cut the edge and fold it over in the direction of placement rather than trying to stretch it round. Stretched material wrinkles, and a wrinkle under the mat is a crack waiting to happen.
